Something for the weekend!
Cheryl
It's that fabby time again, it's Friday yeeehaaa I've had a busy time with school & work this week so really looking forward to a play in my room with my new stash :o)
For this week I'm all broody, i think that's how you spell it never mind, so this weeks theme is
'Baby'
Pretty easy I know but i just love making those type of cards and remember you can make expectant cards if you don't want to go with the traditional blue and white theme just as long as it's to do with babies, have fun!

Party Time!
One of the other things I've been busy with where my Mum's 50th party invites, I cheated though as I decided to go with the design that got published this month as I really liked it, just added some glitter and ribbon for effect, Mum loved them but thought they were to posh!

From America yeeeehaaaaa!!
My lovely hubby brought home my goodies from the states today, I am soooooo going to be locked in my craft room over the next few days :o) I've got near enough the whole cuttlebug embossing folder collection, a couple of paper stacks, a few chipboard alpha sets, a few sizzix alphabets, stickers & loads more I am such a lucky bunny!!!
I made some cards over the weekend for a family friend who is sadly heading back home to Canada to look after her elderly Aunt, she will be sorely missed. I'll keep her working though, making goodies for my shop hahaha
Amazing Concert
Well I still have a smile on my face from the amazing Red Hot Chili Peppers concert at Hampden!! it was a long wait but they where worth every second. There was two support bands I can't remember the first one but the second was a newish group called Biffy Clyro, they are a band from Ayrshire and they were great. I have loads of pics, sound recordings & a cool video and I have bored everyone with it all LOL

Well I never!!
Well i never was sitting late last night with the house as quiet as a mouse flicking through the free copy of Papercraft Essentials magazine that came thought that morning not knowing the reason why I got it free, when I get to page 17 and two of my cards are in it!!
I had no idea they were being put in, I got an email last week asking for my address cause the editor wanted to send me a free mag but I just thought it was because they were looking for subscribers , I think I'll have to buy another now so I can frame it & hang it in the shop you laugh when you see the size of the piece! Scrap A Little Sunshine
"This project started in Holland and has now spread to Belgium, Spain, Canada, and the U.S.A.Of course us crafters in the U.K cannot be left behind.
The idea is that you make mini-albums for children with cancer in which they can stick photographs and little notes from family and friends. The albums should be about 15x15 cm. with 5 pages and lots of pockets to hide things in.You don't need to decorate them completely as it would be nice for the kids to do that themselves. You could put diecuts or stickers in one of the envelopes for this.I am arranging a few childrens hospitals both in Scotland and in England who will take part in this .
They will be named later on when it's all finalised, probably by the end of the week. The albums would be sent to me for the Scottish hospitals and to...( to be announced later on when it's finalised) for one(s) in England. and then taken to the hospitals in October.on this link you can read more about it and at the bottom is a slideshow of some albums that have been made already.

these are some that have been made at the Dutch forum

are you up for it????" & remember spread the word ;O)
I'm taking part in the making of some album for this great cause but if you'd like any info so you can join in please give me a shout xx

Just a little update on some info from Ellen :-
"The info on the blurb has changed a bit in that the hospitals in Scotland are now known
The Royal Hospital for Children in Edinburgh
and
The Yorkhill Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow
I'm still waiting on the other ones down south.

The enddate for sending them in has been moved to the end of October and the size of the albums is not 15x15 anymore but anything goes (as you can read on the blog.) It was just a rough guideline."
