Docrafts Wellington

In my design kit I was lucky enough to have the new Wellington Clear Stamp set :D much excitement was had I can tell you as I've been eagerly waiting this chap!!

The stamp set is mainly geared towards males for a nice change but Wellington is just stunning on baby cards as you can see from the couple above, I've used Distress Markers Tumbled Glass & Worn Lipstick and I think a few more will be made he's just perfect :D

Gorjuss Girl Love

I forgot how good it was to colour :D I spend a lot of time creating for the Docrafts Demos which don't involve me colouring much :( but when I made the card to enter the Squiggles Stamps Challenge I caught the bug again and colour another two girlies

I decided I still wasn't happy with this little lady so I glittered her hair and mounted her again on the funny green shade then onto an 8x8"scallop edge card and I'm happy now :D

Squiggle Stamp Challenge

I had an order for tomorrow and decided to try get my mojo back in tune after yesterdays disastrous card making session lol I haven't made a card with the Gorjuss Girls range for a long time and my customer requested a Gorjuss so Yeay!!

Saturated Canary Mermaid

I recently became addicted to some fabulous digi stamps from Saturated Canary thanx to Caz over at A Load Of Old Bloglocks!! I have a huge collection but with being busy at work and everything else thus little lady has sat on my desk for 3 weeks coloured waiting to be added to a card, finally today after much struggling with the rubbish I was coming up with I managed this :D

This challenge was great fun and the cards the Design Team created are stunning, our theme was Spotlight Stamping, I have tried it before but it's not a technique  I use. I did think the new Docrafts Michael Powell Stamps where ideal for this :D

Random Weekend Pics & Docrafts

Just some random pics from over the weekend, the above was made by my Mam the non crafter at a class held in Cullen Crafts on Sat by the very talented Sarah Carrington :D The ladies who attended just loved it and created stunning Altered Canvases even though the class ran over lol

I managed a 5 min Smash* page while the cutie, now nearly10, was away staying over at her friends farm, she called to tell me they had been chased by the cows and where currently stuck in a tractor!!

I had a little shuffle about in the back shop to make better room for all the classes and demos we have coming up and so far I think it will work :D

Our Lily or as my son affectionally calls her 'The Naked Mole Rat' isn't one for staying still when awake for me to capture pics but she did this weekend while I teased her with her fav toy mouse dangling above my iphone :D

My final pic I am most proud of :D Abs has decided to join the world of Smash* in the mini album I gave her, apart from hyperventilating about the amount of Washi tape she has used lol I think she done a, pardon the pun, Smash*ing job

Distress Marker Love

We received our delivery of the new fabbi Tim Holtz Distress Markers :D
They are so simple to use, the brush tip is lush and the colours are stunning!!!
We took delivery of the full range and will be selling them for only £2.85, there are 37 lush colours which match beautifully with the distress stains & distress ink pads which we stock too :D

Sorry for the lack of posting and huge SORRY to Emma for the lack of contribution to the 31 day Blog Prompt it's been a hard fortnight and just staying a float in real life so blog life has had to take a back seat I'm afraid, but your doing a grant job chick and the prompts have been brill!!

Mr Edward Lushpants Cullen :P

I get a ribbing about this from my friends as he is younger than me but I don't care as there isn't a huge age difference!!!

I adore the Carpenters, not very often and I surprise a lot of folk with this confession as I am a rock chick at heart & love my Chili Pappers & Foo Fighters :D 

But ever now and agin I feel the need to listen to these guys aaaaahhhhhh.

Now this one has to be my freakiest  guilty pleasure, it started way back when I was expecting my first child and it has stayed with me ever since and yes you are right in thinking the worst I do dip the Pringles into the Nutella
NOM NOM NOM!!!!

Docrafts Demo

Well it was demo day at Howdens and what a lovely time was had, this round i had the wonderful Michael powell, Lucy cromwell, Wellington & two Capsule Collection. The ladies who attend had lovely comments about this rounds cards and they are all so lovely :D *wave* to you all if your reading!!!

Todays blog prompt is based on quotes. Find  quote and blog about it.
Who was the quote by? Does the quote make you smile? reflect on life? Get your crafting mojo going?

I wouldn't say this was my fav quote in fact quotes in general don't play a part in my life, I can appreciate a good one none the less. its been a tough week for my Mum & me and I haven't managed to keep up with the 31 Blog Prompt Challenge and I wasn't intending to write a morbid blog post but when I came across the above quote on Pinterest it felt right.

Tragically my Mum & mines friend Maggie passed away suddenly on Sunday, one minute she was fine and the next gone so this week has been horrid so far to say the least and I am dreading the though of her funeral. We've only known each other for 4 short years and the the beginning she was one of the first customers to come to my shop and we got on so well from the start :D We'd talk about everything crafty and sometimes she'd spend hours with me in the shop just sharing out love of crafts, talking about family you know the usual, then it progresses to a group of us sharing nights out to the cinema and the Indian(which was Maggies fav). She would help anyone, had time for everyone and even though she didn't keep well she done her bit for the community helping with the kids fund-raising at the CYC & liked by all on the Town Hall Committee.
So when I saw the quote above it struck a cord as you never know when life is going to give you a right kick up the ass and take the feet away from you, so we should all do our very best to try do all those things we wanted to do before its too late!!
Gone but you'll never be far from our thoughts Maggie xxx

Blog Prompt #5-

Lets look at other ways to inspire YOUR mojo. Todays blog prompt is Create a card or a scrapbook page inspired by your favourite song or a song that you have recently listened to. Do the words mean something?, where does the song take you?, what mood does it put you in?

Well I decided to Smash* in my new Pink Journal my fav all time song from my fav all time band :D

I found the Red Hot Chili Peppers back in 1993 thanks to my crazy tattooed covered Aunt & Uncle, it was love at first sight and nothings changed after all these years.

I was a mixed up hormonal teenager and when I heard "Soul To Squeeze" it just sang through me and tugged at my heart strings, I adore the words, the sining and more of all Flea's base guitar playing the man is a genius!! I've kept it simple using the lyrics from the song and a few snap shots from the video, the sone itself can me found on the movie soundtrack Coneheads (which I have lol)

As much as I love the newer songs from the guys this one will always be the best in my ears :D

Thank you Emma for an unexpected blast from the past I loved it xxx
