Well my wee blog has been left all alone for a while unfortunately I've been megga busy with visitors, the kids & a few things I can't reveal just yet, hopefully ti won't be too long before I can share the uber fabby news-watch this space!!!

More Elmo Work

Wanted to share with you all the reason I've been less active of late, this is the wedding order I told you about a few weeks ago. I'm not quite finished still got the place cards & favors to do but the most important bits are done. I am chuffed to bit with how they have turned out & thankfully so it the bride 2 be, I don't think I'll making this a regular thing I'd rather stick to my baby announcement cards LOL

No Pics Just News

I'm afraid I have no pics today just been to busy this week with my wedding order, last min hair piece order and my last night at my pottery course, which was rather great. I must admit I have caught the bug and can't wait for Roberts fabby Uncle & Aunt to come and visit at the end of the month as they are bringing my new toys with them :) I expect I won't be on here for a while and I will have bowls coming out of my ears LOL last nights session was glazing and I felt I got on better last night with my experimenting, I don't think Brian would agree but never mind I'll get there. kinda good timing with my wheel coming up at the end of the month as I'll have a load of time to practice and get my studio set up before the next course starts in October woohooo!

Anyho onto the news, as you'll have noticed there has been no Sugar Nellie challenge for a while due to plans being made behind the scene, the next challenge will be coming shortly and it's a biggi as we're looking for a new design team member!!!!

For The Boys!

I really need to up my boy/men card range as I'm really shocking when it comes to catering for them & seen as I still have a few month to get sorted I really have to kick myself into shape before it's too late LOL I just love the little Sk8ter boy from Funky kits but really needed a skull & cross bones so created one with Elmo, not great but does the trick.

I haven really got much time to craft or blog as I've been given a great opportunity to start my wedding stationary business & wedding tiaras. I have been commissioned to create wedding stationary & 3 tiaras for the same bride so I'm well chuffed. Her request is a bit of a worry all she needs is for it all to contain browns & thistles, no problem I said but in my head was spinning!!!! As a trial run I've made her a hair comb for a wedding she has in a couple of weeks and I am very pleased with the result but unfortunately I forgot to take a pic.

Busy Busy

Been busy stocking up for the shop seen as I'm still waiting on the warrant, thankfully I have an understanding builder, the hardest part is coming up with the designs I'm pleased with what I'm creating at the moment. It's funny how your colour mood shines through these where done when the weather was really yuck outside I think I was longing for the summer with all the lovely bright colours LOL

My first Monkee Maker well it's actually a cheat this one as she has a fabby blog full of fun & a great shop!

My second has to be the wonderful Inge she has amazing styles it is alway a treat to vist her blog.

My Third is the lovely Andrea this chick has her finger on the pulse and alway one step ahead & it's not surprising that so many design teams want her on board

Number four is the Mojo Team where you will have to make sure you have a few hours spare and a large cuppa believe me you'll be a while

Last and by no means least I have to give the 5th award to the gal I'm been following for many years Jo Kill she has such a great tallent & I love all her work

My Pottery

Now don't laugh but these are my first creations from my pottery course, lined up in order of their creation, as you can see I did make some progress LOL I'm having great fun my tutors Brain & Fiona are fab and always willing to pass on their knowledge and help when it's needed- and that's a lot!!

Last week I progressed onto bowls which I loved, I was really desperate to get throwing again and was really nervous about throwing a bowl but once Fiona showed a tip for pulling up away I went, I think I threw about 10 all in lovey different size's. I'm getting that bad that I'm wishing my week away so I get to Tuesday and the next stage, this will be the leather work where you get to trim your work and add and decoration to it before letting it dry out, it's fab fun too so roll on Tuesday :)

I am very lucky as I'm inheriting a potters wheel from my hubby's Mum who unfortunately died a while ago hence taking the course, she done amazing work with porcelain & was a great artist. I am giving a new home to a wheel, two kiln's, books & all the tools I need I just hope I can do it all justice :)

Challenge 6

Well I'm back to the land of the living and somehow managed to get my craft room in some sort of order and a card made for Sugar Nellie

Well the card above is for the challenge but I took a visit to Funky Kits bricks & mortar store today and made the purchase of this fab little monkey below and just had to have a play..

... I will confess he wasn't the only thing I bought, Sk8ter boy, fishing Luca & Hamish couldn't bare to be apart from Monkey so they just had to come along too LOL like I need an excuse!!!

I's Got the Flu

I'm feeling mega sorry for myself at the moment, hubby has left for 2 months with work, the kids are playing up big time, I haven't eaten since Friday, been laid up the whole weekend so missed out enjoying the lovely weather & the kids and I haven been in my craft room for over a week :( not in a happy place at all.

Calling All Crafters

I don't have too many details at the moment but I'm looking for artists to have a stall at a Handmade Craft Fair at Cullen in July.

Amazing news!!

Just had to share my fabby news.....

We have the Planning Permission WOOOOOHOOOOOO!!!

We are now going full steam ahead, it's all so real now I can finally give my new account a time scale for us to be open, we have got a builder & electrician sorted so it's just getting the timing right with them both LOL I didn't realise it would be so complicated!

I'm quite sad though i haven't got a bit of plaster on the wall but I've picked my colours LOL never mind I'm in a happy place at the moment :)

Sugar Challenge 4

I finally managed to get into my craft room to get some design team work done!! this weeks challenge is Easter so if you fancie taking part or just want a peek of all the other entries pop over for a look :)

My Clever Mum

Not had much of a chance to craft this week as I've been busy making wire roses for my Mum to make pendants out of for the craft fair on sat, forgot to take a picture though so you'll have to wait soz. Instead I'll show you some pics of her stained glass work, she's really great at it and needs to believe in her work more! I'm trying to get some premises in the village and think Mum's work will look great and sell really well which will be a great boost for her and hopefully make her realise how good she is it it.

I'm looking into taking a pottery course seen I was so lucky to inherit a potters wheel and a couple of kiln's, it's a six week one starting at the basics and going through all the different processes including glazing, I'm really looking forward it I've got to call the tutor tomorrow to confirm my place, so if i managed to create anyhting I'll let you see LOL

The challenge over at sweet sugar is on, I was late again sorry guys, here is my take on the black & pink theme the close up is so you can see the cute little gems a pinched off one of my Abbie's old outfit's how bad it that!!

Busy Busy

Well once I got better I had a mammoth task, create cards for a craft fair here in the village on Easter weekend, not a hard thing you may be thinking but I can only have cards with either Renie Macintosh or William Morris theme!!!! This is what I came up with, I really did find it a struggle but had a lot of help from Elmo, I've only made 150 & I'll have some soap but if I don't sell it all I'll put it in the shop if I get it open.

If you about in Cullen on the 22nd March come to the town hall from 10am till 5 pm you'll find me and a selection of textiles, soft furnishing's, jewellery & pyrography.

House Of Sick

Hope you all had a lovely Mothers day as me, I was thoroughly spoiled with beautiful handmade cards, Mark Ronson cd & even a handmade vase of flowers, as you can see someone liked them as much as me or it could be he just wanted in the shot. The kids went swimming so I could get some crafting done and them we went out for coffee & cake and for tea we had a chinese, I told you well spoilt!!

Well Ive been a bad blogger of late due to us having the house of sick, the only person missing it all was hubby, lucky thing! I managed to get Mothers Day cards done the one above was for the MIL & they one below for my Mum, inspired by the wonderful Jo Kill( opps pic still to be added)

I did managed to get a major tidy up done in my craft room, although it really doesn't look like it LOL!!!
