WOYWW #149

Well today on my workdesk I am knee deep in Docrafts :D oh its a hard life but i love it lol I'm getting my samples ready for my next Docrafts Demo and had a few ideas still in my head so having a play then getting it all packed away ready for next week.

I even managed a tidy of my craffice and it's looking lovely but it won't last long!!

Jewellery Mojo

Where the heck are you?!?!? I am in bad need of creating new jewellery lines for the shop but can't bring myself to take anything but a bracelet :( I did manage a necklace from some of the new stock that arrived last week, but other than that nil!! I'm going to trail through Pinterest and hope to find something to get the jewellery juices going :D

Ultimate Blog Challenge #7- K & Co Smash*

We are getting very excited at Cullen Crafts with the soon to arrive Smash* range from K & Co, I once was an avid scrapbooker and was under the silly impression when I opened the shop nearly 4 years ago I would be able to scrapbook every week, well in truth I have managed about 4 pages in that time!!!

But hopefully this will all change with the new range Smash* it's a new style of journaling(which I never liked doing) and scrapbooking on the go, there are some fantastic books, pads, embellishments and the fabbi washi tapes so keep your eye out a it should be arriving in the shop in the next week or so :D

Ultimate Blog Challenge #5- Boofle Wine Tag

I've been getting into these fabbi little things :) They are the easiest things and great for adding to a token gift of wine just to dress it up and they are ideal for using up little scraps and odd embellishments. I've ended up making a few for customers after them seeing the one below made for my next Docrafts Demo so this might be a new line lol

Ultimate Blog Challenge #4- Randomness

 

My lovely Mother decided to come up to the shop and build the new table for the wool section and when she was finished I made her a coffee and she entered the world of Pinterest lol 

I love Pinterest you can find my boards here CullenCrafts Mum happened to find the above done with smoke sausage and spaghetti, so come dinner time she had a go with it & my daughter loved it and now know as Grani's special spaghetti lol 

I had a bead delivery today and left the room to come back to find a little helper my kitty little Lil, she is such a sucker for a bag and a box

Finished off today with a card order needed for one of my regulars, one of her good friends has a birthday tomorrow and this is what I came up with :D Fingers crossed she likes it!

Ultimate Blog Challenge #3- Birds On The Wire

Today I got round to finishing a canvas I've been trying to create for weeks, I really wasn't wanting to make the space to busy as the main feature was to be the birds :D So just some inked spots, as few rubber stamp images and bronzed bubble wrap imprinting.  I really wanted to use my new Indigo Blu Flitter flakes and was keen to use the new Basic Grey words stamps with their lovely swirls I decided it was ment to be :D There is a light spray of a gold tint spray from Tattered Angels just to fill the space and you can never have to much sparkle!!!

And here's the finished result with the birds revealed, I'm real pleased with how its turned out :D No idea where it's going to live as this colour doesn't feature in my home lol oh well another decoration for the shop!!

Ultimate Blog Challenge #2- Behind My Blog

No pics today the promp for the Ultimate Blog Challenge gave me a few things to think about so I decided to start at the beginning :D My reasons behind my blog back in 2006 was really just to document my craft creations and a little family diary, I had no idea where my crafting would lead at the time even then. At the time I was selling handmade toppers on ebay and doing jewellery parties in the local area which helped pay for my addictions, then while trying for planning permission to turn an out building in our garden to a shop I end up going a step further by grabbing my dream and signed a lease for a shop in my village.

Blogging has never been a constant thing trying to juggle a new business, home & family my blog had to take a back seat most times, but with the wonder on new technology I have a lovely little blogger app on my iphone that is helping making blogling so much easier :D

Ultimate Blog Challenge

I'm taking part in the Ultamate Blog Challenge thanx to an invite from the lovely Emma Colins, I struggle to add content and keeping my blog up to date, I go weeks being really good and then it fizzles out lol Summer months are the worst as its the busiest time in the shop so I figured the Ultimate Blog Challenge could help, this is my goal-

"1.  The goal is to post a total of 30 new blog posts on your own blog during the month of April.  We recommend aiming to post once a day, but if you get behind it’s okay to post two or three times in one day to catch back up.  30 in 30 days is the goal, however you want to divide that up."

So here goes.....

Indigo Blu

Carrying on from yesterday's Indigo Blue, I had another play with this wonderful product :D The plan was to do an Indigo Blu Demo over the Easter break but after just two days I am down to 1 kit and just a handful of stamps. I'm sorry to those of you who where waiting to get your hand on the fab range, don't worry though I have placed another order so the demo will go on and I'll update the website with the little stock we have :)

Indigo Blu meets Docrafts

Another post all ready I know but today we received our 1st Indigo Blu order, just a small one mind as I wasn't sure about the range as we have similar rubber in the store but WOW this stuff is amazin!!!
I got stuck into the Flitter Kit, at first I wasn't impressed as it looked all messy and nothing like the image on the stamp but once I took the little scribbler over it revealed amazing results. I used the union jack and a dandelion but I've only made one card so far, this stuff rocks!!! Keep your eye open for a demo at the store real soon as I know loads of you are going to love it!!!

Latest Cards

I came into the shop yesterday to craft, a rare thing for me these days just crafting for myself & I ended up creating more Docrafts Demo cards :D just can't help it as their products are just so fabby!!!
I had a lovely surprise this morning when I checked out Docrafts Creativity Club, in the fab Creativity TV section you can find heaps of great video tutorials and the latest has my wee Portobello Road Box/Card and a stunning card tutorial from the talented Becky James :D I was chuffed to bits!!

Michael Powell Stamp

A customer was admiring one of my coloured MP stamped cards but said she wouldn't buy them as she wasn't confident in colouring, so I asked if she could spare five mins :D
Out came the stamp Docrafts capsule papers and matching ink pad, I stamped the image in the blue mounted it and came up with the card below(I added the flowers after she left :)) She was sold!! Well not from me cause I don't carry that range in the shop but at least she can look at rubber stamps in a whole new way which is great :D

Cascading Urban Card

Been seeing a few of these cascade cards around the net and on Pinterest and I found a real simple tutorial which I adapted for A4 as i really hate the faffing of cutting 12x12 as your left with a lot of waste! I used to uber lush Urban paper pack from Docrafts, as you'll have noticed this card is never going to fit in an envelope lol but it's for my next Docrafts demo so don't matter :D 

Blinged Fairy Crown

Got round to adding some bling onto my Fairy crown :D I used stickles and some stick on bling. I am really chuffed with it now, I adore this range of papers from Docrafs., the yummy Fairy was a topper from the range just trimmed and the papers took from the Enchanted paper pack.
Anyho I used my Docrafts Pennant die, Enchanted fairies paper pack and topper, tri-boss hearts folder, some ink and scrap card to make a stable ring for your crown base.

Had some time to play today and got a chance to try out an idea I had while trying to get to sleep last night, don't you just hate that when your trying to sleep but you can't cause you keep having ideas that your itching to try lol or is it just me who's mad!!

Beautiful Day

What a lovely day my wonderful family treated me to :D I had a lovely long lie with a Cuppa delivered to me along with beautiful hand made cards & gifts. We then got showered and dressed and headed to a sunny Aberdeen for afternoon lunch at my fav TJI Fridays & as ever it was delish!!! Then into town for a spot of shopping & no craft shops in sight I was a good girl lol

Do Crafts Demo

Been a bad blogger this week as I have been busy trying to get cards ready for my next Docrafts demo through at Inverness. In the kit this time round I have the lovely Enchanted Fairies, Boofle, Hearfelt & Urban ranges to play with, I am such a lucky girl!!

A little Birdie Told Me

I am truly lovin Pinterest at the mo there are some amazing ideas for crafting and a whole heap of other great stuff.
Today I found a cute little bird in a cage and thought I'd give my take on it a go :)
I've used the Docrafts Urban bookplate paper and stamp range, along with a couple of Boofle buttons.

Poly Playtime

I decided to have a serious playtime with my sculpey clay during the week, I checked out a few tutorials on you tube and thought I'd try my hand at some cane making

I'm quite chuffed at the final result, I made some buttons and some beads and named them Wonderland :D Not sure if its my thing but I have to do product testing of our new ranges, its a hard job and I'm glad I get to do it!!!

Boofle With Love

My new demo kit from Docrafts arrived :D I'm having great fun playing with the fab new ranges released this month, with Boofle so far I made a card and a little chocolate holder box.
