We are Open For Business!!!!!!

Well we made it wooooohooooo!!! I opened my door last Monday, a week earlier but I thought I may as well as I was through the back sorting my craft room so the company was welcome. For my first week a did exceptionally well ans I'm really chuffed to bits with how things are going. I had my launch party on Saturday, it went really well and a huge thanx to all my lovely friends who turned up xxx

Well this week I'm still stocking the shelves and trying to sort out advertising as so far I have done none!!! I know it's bad but thankfully I haven't needed to LOL and I'm thinking if things are this good without advertising what are they going to be like when I do!!!

I have just about sorted my new craft room out and hopefully will have a bit of spare time to get the pics posted, at the min I'm working 8 hr shifts but I love it :)

Well this is the news I had to wait till now before sharing!! It's all been a bit manic for the past 3/4 weeks while I've been working hard trying to finalise the deal and thankfully it's all through and I picked up my keys on Tuesday Morn :o)

It's no the best due to not being able to take out the fixture all ready there but I'm sure I'll be able to work around them and fingers crossed it will look fab when it's all painted. I've been spending a lot of time cleaning and we moved units and stock up last night which was really exciting. Today I had a meeting with a lovely man from the FSB, if you are a small business and haven't all ready looked into joining them I would highly recommend you do! even if your a home run business the are behind you all the way which is very reassuring.

I'll keep add new pics when we are all complete and fully stocked :o) which hopefully won't be too long I'm soo looking forward to a big party!!!!

Most Amazing News.....

........ We had the most amazing news on Thursday from a meeting I had concerning the progress of my shop!!!!!

But unfortunately I cannot share the full details with you till next week sometime, I know I;m a tease! lets just say I did go out on Friday and buy PINK paint :o)

Finished

Well I finally finished Myra's tiara, I totally stressed myself out whether she was going to like it but thankfully she did and it even got the approval of her nine year old son which was sweet seen as mine never said a thing LOL

I also managed to get one of the girls tiaras done, my poor little fingers where sore with all that twisting but worth the pain in the end, just one more to get done. I thought the only thing left doing was her place cards but they have found another 15 people to invite so I'll be busy getting them done this week as well!

I'm really glad I took on the tiaras as I've loved making them, I've just been shocked by the different prices tags on some I've seen around the net! it's all very confusing when your new to it and have no idea how much you should charge, it's the old dilemma if you charge too much you are seen as expensive but if you charge to little you are seen as having an inferior product!!! but I'm sure I'll get there in the end and will hopefully have many more orders in the future *Ü*

Sunday Post Early

Well i expect that I'll be spending the day with hubs and the bambino's so I'm posting this tonight, I was soo lucky to be allowed to have a play in my craft room as well today :o) so I've had a fabby crafting time. These are just a couple of cards that I've designed for the shoppe, I had some baby Magnolia's lying around needing a home so thought I' have a play with them and my cuttlebug embossing folders and with the end of term coming up I thought I'd better make a start on teacher cards, Edwin is soooo cute and really makes the card I think. Hopefully I'll get some more time to play this week.

It's been my last week at work which I'm looking forward to but not, the guys there are so supportive of my big step ahead which I'm really greatful for, they are all looking forward to my bug launch which is great. I'm not looking forward to the goodbyes though, I've had a great time with them and will miss the laugh's I have had with Myra but I'm sure we'll keep in touch as she's such a lovely person.

My New Line

Well thanx to my work colleague Myra wanting Tiara's for her wedding in July I have ventured into a new direction with my love for beads & it's a pretty scary one admittedly! I have had great fun with it though, above is the base for her crown and within the next few days be filled with beautiful swarovski Crystal in browns with matching pearls in a messing wire style, IYKWIM LOL when it's finished I'll post pics and you'll see what I mean! Below was just me having a play so she could see all the colours together and she's picked that design for her two bridesmaids but I've dicided the beads at the back look really top heavy for kids so I'll have to change them.

My lush Hubs was a real gem today and let me sit watching Karate Kid 2 while I made Tiaras for the shopp, what I lucky girl I am, the only thing I had to do was Iron some party clothes for Matthew-winner! the two spikie ones below are actually Moonstone & Rose Quartz gemstone tapered set that I normally use for necklaces, I put an order in for the shop the other day and while looking, sorry drooling over my stock I had a thought they may look good on a tiara and I'm very pleased with the results.

This little bugger below I really love the sparkle just isn't captured in my picture, I can't complain as I only use my mobile for my blog LOL The only problem with it is the pain in my fingers when I'd finished all those little twists are a right royal pain in the bum, but worth it in the end!

Lovely Goodies

I was a lucky girl this week!!!! I got some fabby 'My Favorite Things' rubber stamps in for the shop or as my Mum calls then 'the headless ladies', they are uber fabby & great to use. I got to try them out with my new copics pen's which are great and soo easy to use too, they are so good I'm thinking of selling my prisma pencils and I love them heaps!

I've been getting is some great stuff from the states and securing trade accounts with a few other fabby things from there too :o)

Wanted to share with you all the reason I've been less active of late, this is the wedding order I told you about a few weeks ago. I'm not quite finished still got the place cards & favors to do but the most important bits are done. I am chuffed to bit with how they have turned out & thankfully so it the bride 2 be, I don't think I'll making this a regular thing I'd rather stick to my baby announcement cards LOL

No Pics Just News

I'm afraid I have no pics today just been to busy this week with my wedding order, last min hair piece order and my last night at my pottery course, which was rather great. I must admit I have caught the bug and can't wait for Roberts fabby Uncle & Aunt to come and visit at the end of the month as they are bringing my new toys with them :) I expect I won't be on here for a while and I will have bowls coming out of my ears LOL last nights session was glazing and I felt I got on better last night with my experimenting, I don't think Brian would agree but never mind I'll get there. kinda good timing with my wheel coming up at the end of the month as I'll have a load of time to practice and get my studio set up before the next course starts in October woohooo!

Anyho onto the news, as you'll have noticed there has been no Sugar Nellie challenge for a while due to plans being made behind the scene, the next challenge will be coming shortly and it's a biggi as we're looking for a new design team member!!!!

For The Boys!

I really need to up my boy/men card range as I'm really shocking when it comes to catering for them & seen as I still have a few month to get sorted I really have to kick myself into shape before it's too late LOL I just love the little Sk8ter boy from Funky kits but really needed a skull & cross bones so created one with Elmo, not great but does the trick.

I haven really got much time to craft or blog as I've been given a great opportunity to start my wedding stationary business & wedding tiaras. I have been commissioned to create wedding stationary & 3 tiaras for the same bride so I'm well chuffed. Her request is a bit of a worry all she needs is for it all to contain browns & thistles, no problem I said but in my head was spinning!!!! As a trial run I've made her a hair comb for a wedding she has in a couple of weeks and I am very pleased with the result but unfortunately I forgot to take a pic.
