Hope you all had a lovely Mothers day as me, I was thoroughly spoiled with beautiful handmade cards, Mark Ronson cd & even a handmade vase of flowers, as you can see someone liked them as much as me or it could be he just wanted in the shot. The kids went swimming so I could get some crafting done and them we went out for coffee & cake and for tea we had a chinese, I told you well spoilt!!
A little look into my love of card making, scrapbooking, jewellery making & anything crafty

It's Friday
I am really not getting a lot of crafting done since starting work, I can just about manage my two design teams and anything else made is a bonus but that's the way it's got to be at the moment. I guess I'm feeling fed up cause I don't see my wage at the end of the month with saving it just in case I find premises for a shop but if i don't need it I'm sure I'll manage to spend it LOL
Had a good day at work with Myra we have been working hard, well Myra has LOL we've got target to get each week, we look to get 90% and above where as the directors are looking for 95%-never gonna happen, anyway Myra and I have been busting a gut and it paid off. We reached 92.2%!!!! this is huge for the team as it's never been done before it was just a shame Mike wasn't in to enjoy the celebration. I do like the job but I'm needing something closer to home, I don't like not being there for the kids, I've been asked to stay on as they are impressed with how well I've fitted in and picked up the job but I've decided to actively look for something local in time for my contract finishing, just means if i don't find anything I can stay on with them :)
In the mean time I'm working with Myra to get her wedding invitations finalised, not being big head but they are real nice, she asked for brown & thistles to be incorporated!!! my head was in a spin with what to come up with, so went out on a limb and with the help of Elmo designed a lovely little thistle and a monogram with Myra & Jim Bobs initials, can't let you see it until its all agreed, the worst big is pricing LOL

Sugar Nellie Chalange 2
Well here's my offering, a tad late I'm afraid cause my we phone decided it didn't want to play this week!! not good, the theme is "dressing up" I'm aftaid my outfit is a tad boring but the papers I used where a bit busy to go wild but I like it. Pop over via the link on the right if you want to join in :o)
As for life things are just flying by at an alaming rate, before I now it Robert will be getting ready to leave us for another two month stint, not looking forward to that but it has to be done. I'm still working away but not enjoying it, I think I've just got too used to being able to do anything at the drop of the hat & after missng out in a few things at the kids school it really got to me, but needs must and all of that. As for the shop that seems to have taken a sudden stop, we where suposed to get an answer on the 5th Dec and haven't heard anyting, we had a couple of objections so it really isn't looking good, I may have to look for premises the way tings are going :(

New Arrival
Well after the most horrid journey through the snow on Friday we picked up this little beauty, he is a Blue Mitter Ragdoll and has been given the name of "Merlin" To all our amazement he has settle in brilliantly, loads of playing, sleeping and eating. He is great with the kids, loves Matthew to bits as he has more confidence with him but Abbie is learning and she is taking baby steps and is getting past her fears and thinks he's smashing so we're all pleased, he really didn't have an option to fit in with all the noise and excitement in this house. We have found him crying a couple of time and looking for some loves, it must be hard being without our brothers and sisters and all the other 5 cats, but he gets a cuddle and seems happy again. I'll no doubt bore you with more pics of him and some scrapping will defo have to be done as he's such a poser!!! Hate to think what I'll be like with my kitti when I get one, well if I get one thats some serious stash pennies just for a cat :)

Sundays
This is what they are all about, Mum & Dad where out shopping and Hubby & Kids where swimming so I had the house all to myself. I cranked the Red Hot Chili Peppers up full, thank fully we have no neighbours LOL, and I went for a shower, I was singing and dancing to my hearts content! now there's a vision. I gathered up my mini T.V, laptop, coffee, prisma pencils & headed to my room :) Oh I had a fab time playing, although I didn't get as much made as I wanted but there is always next week, I'd love to say tomorrow but I never get the time now a days!!! i did however have to tidy up before I could start anything as everything has just been dumped in over the week, so the fist pic is a before shot but really you wouldn't know I had done anything :)

This is it tided LOL
I've been desperate to play with my cowboy stamp since I made the file in Elmo with him in mind, the shape wasn't planned how ever, I made a boob with a sample for a wedding invite & the paper was so lush I came up with this solution, the patterned paper is from a download bought o the net, I'm really pleased with how it turned out.
I new I was going to be having some crafty time so I asked Chris for a file to play with, I saw this new damask inspired file on her blog and thought it would be great for a card, sad I know but I actually couldn't sleep last night until i had though up what to so with it, she is one clever lady I'm sure you'll agree if you pop onto her blog you can buy this any many more fabby file's.
This one was an experiment, I have a craft fair in Easter where I can only sell product relating to Rennie Macintosh & William Morris so I wanted to find something different. I have my chair cards but wanted something that I could sell a little cheaper, I haven't played with my embossing powders for a long time so thought I should. I melted a little powder and then added another layer and melted again, keep going till you have enough & while it's still hot push in your chosen stamp, leave it there for a seconds until you feel it hardening & lift off. I'm really pleased with the effect and fits in well with the Macintosh look.

Fabby News
As you can see at the side of my blog I have a fabby little graphic from Visual designs by Chris Durnan as I have been asked to join her creative team :) I'm still in shock but very honoured and can't wait to get stuck in, here's my first creation made from one of Chris's files. Chris is a very talented paper lovin crafter who also happens to create the most lush files for cutting machines, available for purchase at http://www.paperthreads.com/ I'm really looking forward to working with her & the team :)

Playing in my room
How much I've missed my craft room, unfortunately I had to spend soooo long cleaning it before I could find my desk, but I got there in the end. Now my mission was to get the hang of my Prisma Pencils, that hubby bought for my Christmas, easier said than done. I had bough some Zest it to blend them with but really didn't get on so then opted for Sansodor as recommended by the peeps at UKS, thankfully it worked a treat so I could finally show hubby the small fortune he had spent was worth it, I can honestly say these pencils will be with me for years, they are so lush!
Just a little close up, not that I claim to be an expert at colouring but i must admit the pencils really do make it easy, they are great. Mind you once I started making them I realised I really don't have a lot of goodies to make boy/men stuff not good so I'm on the hunt to rectify that :)
Not a lot
Well I'm jus about to head downstairs to my craft room-wooohoooo!!! The heating is on so it should be snug and I need to make at least one card for my Dad's birthday tomorrow but other than that i can play play play :)
I'll leave you with a pic of the last Christmas card I made for my Hubby's lovely Aunt & Uncle
This other pic is of a fabby little product that I found on the net and have been in touch with the supplier, I am so pleased to say I will be carrying them in the shop when it opens :) I'm sure they are going to sell like hot cakes as they are sooooo sweet & only £5!!! how cool is that.

Happy New Year!
Haven't been able to post much due to Christmas and oh my new job LOL so there will be no picks of any crafting I'm afraid because quite frankly I have none :( feeling a bit down over the lack of crafting going on in my life at the moment, never mind I'll make up for it when the shop is up and running :)
Hope you have a wonderful New Year, may it bring you what your looking for xxx

I was asked to take in my jewellery and sold quite a lot which was nice so I have a whole set of new customers waiting for the shop open which is fantastic and hopefully a few crafters can be made out of them!!!!
Not got any crafting done because of it though but I have done something unusual and put some robo files on the net for sale mainly Macintosh,

No pics today
I'm afraid I've been making loads of Macintosh cards since my last post so no pics of nothing new, I know that the fair isn't till next year but with me starting my new job on Monday I wanted to get as much done with my free time so I'm not stressing nearer the fair, plus I have loads of ideas with the cut our for other project's if I didn't get the cards out the way I wouldn't have to time!
I did manage to spend some pennies over at Funky kits last night with their new launch of designs, I didn't manage to bag any new one's so I cheered myself up with a couple of boys from the Sugar Nellie range, I went for Pirate, knight oh and little nellie sitting with heart :o) lovely!
Have a busy weekend ahead, getting my hair done- treat from hubby for new job, off to Aberdeen Chrimbo shopping and buying some clothes for work, Christmas party on Sunday which I have still to buy pressies for the kids for-opps! and on Monday start new job! just a few things happening so I don't see any crafting happening LOL

All done plus deco's
Finally got my card list done pics taken (thought not very good soz) and uploaded to the puter, no doubt I'll have more to make & I'll probably be using tildas or sugar nellies LoL I just love them and they have got be back into stamping big time!!
Well mine are up, granted later than expected, I normally get them up on the 1st, we put on the Christmas songs get in nibbles for dinner and get stuck in, but this year the village where having disco's for the kids after the light's where switched on so we had to wait till Sunday. I didn't get my songs on though because Star wars was on - never mind! Well we started about 4.30pm and i finished at 11.30pm!!!! I did cook our nibbles in between and eat so take off an hour LOL It's all worth it in the end though as I love this time of year and always always make the most of it.
